Description
The UK's Commonwealth Scholarship Commission funds master's degrees for people from eligible Commonwealth countries, and Nigeria is on the list. You need at least an upper second-class (2:1) first degree or equivalent, must be unable to afford UK study without help, and must be able to start in September 2027.
The award covers full tuition, return flights, a monthly stipend of £1,712 (£2,000 in London), a study travel grant and a child allowance where relevant.
How to apply: you cannot apply to the Commission directly. Nigerians are nominated through the Federal Scholarship Board, which may set an earlier closing date, and then complete the CSC online application by 16:00 BST on 20 October 2026.
