Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are one- to two-year master's programmes run by groups of universities, so students study in at least two European countries. Anyone in the world can apply if they hold a bachelor's degree or will complete one before the programme starts.

The highest-ranked applicants get EU-funded scholarships that cover participation costs, travel, visa costs and a monthly living allowance. Not every programme offers scholarships every year.

How to apply: pick programmes from the Erasmus Mundus catalogue and apply directly to each consortium. Each sets its own requirements and deadline, and most deadlines fall between October and January for courses starting the following autumn.
